beer factory
My liking for adult beverages is well-known on this side of the Pacific so one of our suppliers took me to the JianGuo Beer Factory to sample some of their libations. The beer garden is hidden pretty well behind the factory so you need to walk down a sketchy-looking alley to locate it but once you get there the 3,800cc mini kegs are plentiful. My Taiwanese friends seemed to like it:

Jetlag had me ready for some z’s but they were not to be had. Our Australian distributors showed up just past bar time and we cajoled the bartender to set us up with another round. Still thirsty, the Aussies shoved me into a cab and I was shanghaied to another tavern with a later closing time. It was at this tavern that I learned of “Marchstache,” a pledge drive for cancer research:

Anywho, as far as I know everyone made it home okay. I bumped into a few of the Aussies the next day and they looked right as rain (sorry for the poor picture, Brett)
